“Feminist Reborn: a Journey through Womanhood” is a talk about Lisa’s experience of transitioning from Good Girl to Burning Woman (ref Lucy H Pearce) through the lens of fertility treatment and her rediscovery of the wonders of womanhood.

As women we are often not held or supported as we cycle through our life stages, and this talk will give some insight into how Lisa has navigated the challenges of changing from a compliant, burnt-out woman, desperate to have her personal worth validated through her professional life, and now, a soon-to-be self-published author, red tent facilitator, and fire-breathing feminist.

She uses the power of story, and inner work to connect with other women and to shift the dial on patriarchy’s grip of our personal power.

Expect some comedy and a dash of defiance tinged with the grit and pearl of hard-won personal transformation.

Bio

Lisa lives and works in the Scottish Highlands. She is a mother, a red tent facilitator, a writer, and a lover of many things human and healing. In her past life, she was a dedicated disciple of the senior management grind, and a serial collector of degrees. Nowadays, she finds pleasure and satisfaction in raising her son, gentling a Welsh pony, and dreaming up ways to dismantle the patriarchy.
