Reflect, reclaim and re-member the parts of yourself that have been buried under deadlines, to-do lists and other people’s expectations. Explore the unconscious narratives we create with our physical and vocal habits and how they give us insights into unconscious thinking patterns and unhelpful mental scripts.
Body, breath, voice and imagination are tools which your facilitator, Leandra Ashton has studied and used as an actress, yoga teacher and workshops facilitator for over 17 years.
The workshop last 90 minutes and is divided into three parts: DIG, ROOT & BLOOM.
DIG – Unearth unconscious choices
– Bring to light your current use of body, breath, voice & mind
– Weed out unhelpful patterns through reflective and creative exercises
– Dig deep into who you consciously wish to be
ROOT – Feel into your potential
– Somatic exercises to release tension and feel centered & aligned
– Wellbeing practices to feed the roots of who you are
– Visualisation, breathing and gentle movement to nourish your body and mind
BLOOM – Become the truest version of you
– Embody a ‘rooted and rising’ physicality
– Free your voice: clarity, impact and flexibility
– Practice being seen, heard and true to you
Over 17 years, Leandra has built a portfolio of workshops that explore the stories we unconsciously tell ourselves and the world.
She combines her acting training, live performance experience and yoga teaching to offer an embodied approach to realising the energy within us all.
Leandra studied languages before receiving a scholarship for the three-year acting degree at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She is a Yoga Alliance 200hrs accredited teacher, also trained in Yoni Shakti Womb Yoga (Uma Dinsmore-Tulli) and Mizan Abdominal Massage.
Her body, breath, voice workshops have taken her across the UK, Europe, the USA and the Middle East. She has worked with diplomats, refugees, entrepreneurs, nurses, board directors, engineers, school children, doctors and students. Clients include: Cambridge University Judge Business School (Rising Women Leaders Programme), Champagne Bollinger, Essence Digital, The NHS, Lindum Group, Shepherd Group, Taylor’s Port and The Samaritans.
As an actress, Leandra has taken lead roles on television and in theatres across the UK and abroad. She has also written, directed and toured new plays with wrap-around outreach work including inter-faith and inter-generational ‘story-swaps’.
At the heart of everything Leandra does is her belief in the vast potential we have as individuals and as a collective. She believes in the powers of ‘being’, creativity and communication to release unconscious brakes that prevent our potential from flowing. Her approach is always practical: encouraging people to experience different states of being, so that they can decide for themselves the story of their lives.
