Motherhood Women's Circle - Sharing our Birth Stories

Giving birth is one of the most powerful rites of passage that we can go through as women, yet we live in a culture that offers us little to no space to fully express, process or integrate our experiences.

There is so much to be gained by sharing our birth stories – pride in ourselves, celebration, grieving, healing, feeling part of the lineage of birthing women, a sense of our own strength and power as a channel for Life herself…

This women’s circle is a place of belonging where all thoughts, feelings and experiences are welcome. Our birth stories will have similarities and differences as our bodies, medicine and grace intertwined to provide us with our own unique initiation into motherhood, yet there is potent wisdom to be found within every experience. Through creative visualisation, sharing and ritual, you will have the space to discover that wisdom, and to voice your experience of giving birth in a way you may not have had the opportunity to do before.

This circle is for women of any age, whether you gave birth recently or your children have already flown the nest. The more diverse we are, the richer the shared well of wisdom we have to draw from. Little ones are welcome in the circle.

Please bring with you:
– Something comfortable to sit on
– Water to drink
– Journal and pen
– An item for the altar that you had when you gave birth or something that symbolises your experience in some way

Gem is a Sacred Birthkeeper and grief tending facilitator and supports women 1-1 and in community circles and ceremonies.
