A one woman show.

Hitting a milestone birthday prompted me to take some big risks and explore my identity as a woman. I threw myself out of a plane, backpacked around India, revamped my underwear drawer, and contemplated sex and the older woman. I reclaimed the hag and witnessed death, all before the dementia kicked in.

This is the raw and raucous story of the challenges we all face as women, and how we navigate them with grace and disgracefully. I’m writing and performing a solo show about my journey, which has been a dream come true. This will also be an introduction to a play shop called “Rites of Passage-navigating the Transitions.”

I think of the transition space as being sacred. It’s a place to pause and contemplate what has gone before and what may be possible in our futures. It’s a place to go inwards and reflect, to breathe and surrender to what is. Whether we’re celebrating a milestone birthday or facing grief and loss, the transition space is a place to create something new.

Let’s play in that space together as Burning Women, and stir the flames of our hearts and wombs. Let’s see what magic we can create using ceremony and ritual. This will be a small group in order to ensure that you feel held and witnessed.

I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery. Together, we can reclaim our power and create a new world for ourselves.
