Poetry is Power

This practical workshop will give participants lots of practical writing tasks to unleash the poet within. Using a variety of writing prompts, group discussion and guided reading, we will write poems and discover our creative voices.

This workshop is open to any person, no previous experience of reading or writing poetry is required at all.

Cathi Rae is a widely published poet and spoken word artist. She has performed throughout the UK and has been described as ” A spoken word icon” by Joelle Taylor (this years’ winner of the TS Elliot prize for poetry).

Cathi Rae’s work is small p political, feminist and sometimes a little angry, although she does like poems about dogs too.
