Introducing pop poet, Louise Fazackerley, fresh from supporting punk legend Dr. John Cooper Clark. With work rooted in word-witchery and the working class, Louise is exploring the synergy between poetry and movement in a way that makes the ugly beautiful and the mundane fantastical. A Winner of BBC Radio 3 New Voices and European Slam Finalist, as seen on BBC Breakfast and heard on BBC Radio 4, Louise is excited to share a performance from her new genre- distorting, darkly humorous dystopian book ‘The Lolitas.’

The Lolitas is an extraordinary performance. Darkly humorous, the work weaves working class, feminist narratives of fiction, fact and foretelling.  It is a genre distorting, dystopia of daughters, single parenting, love and abuse. From the lyric tenderness of the first kiss, to sex in science class, to Mam’s new boyfriend sitting too close on the couch.
