Healing the Burning Times

The European Witch Hunts of 1450-1750, or the Burning Times as they have become known, is the history lesson we were never taught at school but should have been! Through extensive research into what happened and why, and a journey into ancestral healing, Cali discovered that so many of her own wounds were rooted in the lives of her Witch Ancestors. In her talk she shares how this exploration took her on a 13 moon pilgrimage around the UK and Ireland, gathering women in ceremony each full moon, and tells the story of this piece of our history which led to one of the deepest wounds in the psyche of women. Our Witch ancestors may be dead but they live on inside of us. And through us, the witch hunts continue! Understanding our past holds the key to unlocking our the Burning Woman of the Future! It’s time to set ourselves free!

Barefoot Self-Reliance

Di was raised by her Grandfather and Father in an unconventional upbringing for a little girl in the seventies. A childhood that necessitated teaching herself self-reliance skills led to a university post-graduate education in Criminal Psychology and teaching at college. Three children later, Di had given up academia to raise her children alone and off-grid in a remote North Yorks Dale and a return to work in teaching again but this time in the natural lifestyle skills that was her lifestyle. They had no heating, loo, or running hot water, living in a green painted caravan in a five acre field, they lived very simply using what was around them. Di shares her Barefoot Self-Reliance journey and her passion to empower others to learn these skills using what we have around us. The talk is followed by a book signing.

Having spent 13 years in branding and marketing before launching her first Leeds based business in 2002, Sammy went on to build six more companies in the business growth sector. After 12 years of relentless drive to make millions of pounds, dollars and euros for her clients she burned out, becoming seriously ill through stress. She had to find an alternative solution to do what she loves, reach more people with less stress, enjoy more time freedom AND get paid well for it!

In 2014 she launched www.howtobuildabrand.org, taking it from £0 to £18,000 of monthly revenue in just 12 weeks, using FREE marketing strategies to prove what can be achieved for a small business with no budget. This took Sammy onto stages all over the world and in 2015 she launched a Brand Strategy company in Canada. February 2017 saw her launch The Brand Builders Club globally and her most recent business, founded in April 2019 is called ‘One Drop Movement’. One Drop is first and foremost a Global movement to unite changemakers and celebrate what can be achieved through collaboration rather than competition. Secondly it is a foundation supporting social impact ‘Ideas Worth Funding’, which includes training the homeless how to create a successful business and get themselves back on their feet.

Sammy is looking forward to seeing you at the Burning Women Festival, to share how you too can be the One Drop that's missing from the world.

Often we settled for the first man to show a romantic and sexual interest in us, the job or career that somehow we just fell into. Maybe we had children young and never followed through on our dreams, putting our own fulfilment on the back burner so our children could flourish.Whatever your “story” so far, it is never too late to manifest your dreams and follow your heart.

Finding your Sweet Spot: Where Food, Faith and the Feminine Collide

What do a disordered relationship with food, a conservative religious upbringing, and a typical ‘workaholic’ lifestyle have to do with each other? Kendra weaves together her story of all three. Growing up as a straight-A student and a high-performing athlete in a conservative religious community, the seeds were planted for a huge dependency on controlling mechanisms in order to achieve physical and spiritual perfection. She developed an eating disorder, which of course was the opposite of perfection; a failure on so many levels. As she found her way out of a chaotic relationship with food and shameful relationship with her body, she began to connect with herself and the world in a way that was never taught in Sunday school. She was hooked. Her continued exploration helped her realise that the same drivers that led to an eating disorder were also driving the bus in her relationship and business; and that ironically, the way to avoid disaster there included embodying her feminine self. And of course, this reclamation takes place in the part of her that was once so heavily shamed and punished; her body.

The Fall of the Divine Feminine, how we came to believe we are less than we are

Kathleen discusses the origins we have forgotten through race amnesia of the Divine Feminine’s fall into the belief that we are less than we are. Why do we berate ourselves with labels of unworthy, and not good enough, where did those labels begin? Why do we allow destructive undermining behaviour and a patriarchal society to have become the norm? What happened to our connection to our wisdom, to our planet, to each other and the Goddess within to create the dynamic of suppression? This collective wound of the Divine Feminine, through the pains of intergenerational inherited patterning is coming to the surface and to be able to heal it personally, communally, planetary and universally we must have the courage to face the origins of our wounds, to stop the patterns repeating for the generations to come. We stand as the gateway to the future and in our hands is the responsibility for the next seven generations and beyond.
